What is Cosmetic Acupuncture?

Cosmetic Acupuncture is a series of treatments which build off one another to reduce lines, create a more even skin tone, boost collagen and give your skin a glow. I typically recommend twice a week for the first 2 weeks and then weekly for 8 weeks.

What is facial cupping?

I use small glass suction cups on your face to bring blood to the skin and tissues which stimulates fibroblast cells producing collagen and elastin. This helps bring skin back to its youthful state, tightening and repairing the skin, while relaxing tight muscles and cleansing the lymphatic system of your face and neck. It feels amazing and relaxing and doesn't leave any marks.

What is facial Gua Sha?

Facial Gua Sha is used to enhance the effects of the acupuncture, release muscle tension in the face and neck and re-sculpt the face. It's basically a gentle soothing facial massage with amazing benefits. I encourage my patients to do this at home too.

What is LED light therapy?

LED light therapy uses four clinically proven wavelengths of UV-free LED lights that boosts collagen production and treats existing acne. The light is used over your face as you rest with acupuncture and enhances everything the cosmetic acupuncture is doing. Patients report it to be deeply relaxing. It stimulates skin cell micro-circulation, improves lymphatic drainage, softens fine lines and wrinkles, improves collagen and elastin, delays signs of aging, and is relaxing and rejuvenating.

What Can I Expect?

Each person will see different results depending on age and the condition of your skin. Below are results that people experience. But they don't end there. Patients report better digestion and sleep, anxiety is lessened or diminished, increased energy, and overall mood is better.

- A reduction in fine lines... they may even disappear                                           - The beginnings of jowls can be minimized
- Age spots fade
- Improvements in Acne and Rosacea
- Skin tone evens out and redness diminishes
- Softer and more vibrant skin                                                                                     - Reduction of puffiness
- Improved elasticity                                                                                                     - leveling of deeper wrinkles

When Should I Begin Treatments?

Anytime! As with any facial protocol, such as Botox, it's best to begin before the wrinkles get too deep. Beginning treatments in your 30's or 40's, while the skin is still easy to correct is ideal. But you will see benefits at any age. Each person will respond differently. Results can be subtle or dramatic.

The treatments build off of each other, so it is important that you can commit to 8 - 12 weeks of weekly treatments to see maximum results. I recommend twice a week for the first 2 weeks and then weekly for 6-8 weeks. After the initial protocol is completed, it is best to continue treatments every 4-6 weeks to maintain results.
